This system forces players to manage their visibility and cooldowns, creating a realistic ebb and flow to street crime that prevents mindless spamming and rewards patient gameplay.

Diverse Criminal Opportunities

Never run out of ways to make a quick buck with over five distinct crime types. Players can test their rhythm by pickpocketing NPCs, use tools to break into public post boxes, or scavenge neighborhoods as a "Porch Pirate" to steal delivered packages. Each activity features unique mini games, custom animations, and weighted loot tables that change based on the wealth of the neighborhood you are targeting. From rare collectibles in high end areas to quick cash in the slums, the city is your playground.

The Black Market Economy

Turn your stolen goods into cold hard cash through a specialized underground network. Stolen mail and letters can be sold to a roaming "Blackhat" NPC who constantly moves between secret locations to avoid detection. This roaming contact keeps the economy fresh and encourages players to explore different parts of the map to find their buyer. Combined with a "glitterbomb" mechanic that allows police to disarm traps and track thieves, the interaction between criminals and law enforcement has never been more engaging.

High-Risk Post Box Looting

Public post boxes offer higher volume but significantly higher risk than their residential counterparts. Each box can be looted up to three times before emptying, but there is a % of chance your hand will get stuck in the slot. If you're caught, you’ll have to win a secondary minigame to free yourself using a custom animation. Successful thefts provide various envelopes that can be opened for cash or sensitive information.

Porch Pirate Operations

Become the neighborhood menace by tracking up to 150 active package spawns across the city. Packages come in Small, Medium, and Large tiers, with the larger variants requiring a knife to open. Watch out for the glitterbomb trap a configurable % of chance depending on the tier which explodes in a colorful mess if not disarmed. Police officers can intervene to disarm these active traps, while admins can use a command to open a menu to live-edit spawn locations and loot tables.

Mail Trafficking & The Blackhat NPC

The "Mail & Envelope" system turns stolen paper into profit. Envelopes can be opened with a custom animation to reveal configurable reward in cash or specialized letter items. These letters can be sold for a flat rate to the Blackhat NPC, a roaming dealer who moves between Vespucci, Prosperity, Cougar, and Bay City. With the Blackhat staying at each location for configurable hours, players must keep their ears to the ground to find their fence and offload their illicit goods.
